Plans were to meet up at the track, share some stories, have some cold beer and grill up some food. Mother nature had some other plans. A tremendous downpour came and just didn't let up. Some of us waited out the rain in our nearby VWs, but others gathered in a nearby school bus named peas and carrots. Eventually we filled up the entire school bus and had a good time despite the weather. Once we found out that the racing event was called off due to the weather, we decided to head back to the hotel where we were all staying. We had one hell of a "park-a-cue" in the parking lot of the hotel. We had no complaints about our somewhat drunken rowdiness which ended with us stealing Dans bus after 2 am sometime.......Sorry Dan!

Florida track day

Sometimes in Fl it gets hot. I'm not talking about the temperature but rather about the trash talking. Recently on the Samba a thread went up over who had the fastest car. Not only did it become a hot thread but it also sparked one hell of a track day. Everyone met up at the track on Sat afternoon. There was over 50 VW's there. This is a non VW event so we had a good turnout to say the least. All different clubs wee representing and lots of familiar faces were there. There was some serious in your face trash talking at the track, but unfortunately the score didn't get settled. After everyone got to do a test and tune run, it started to rain and the track called a rain out which means there will be a redo. I will be there for sure!
